서울의대병원 내과 레지덴트가 한 달간의 미국 해외연수의 도움을 청하다.

2020년 서울의대 졸업하고 현재 서울의대병원에서 내과 레지던트 2년차인 장세윤 동문이 미국에서 2023년 1 달간 해외연수를 받을 수 있도록 우리 동문에게 도움을 청하는 서한을 보내왔다. 편지

본교 4학년 학생 7명이 미국 병원에 여름 연수을 하기로 선정되었다.

2022년 7월 11일에서 8월 5일까지 본교 4학년 학생 7명이 다음과 같이 미국 병원에서 연수하기로 선정되었다.
김동현, 임하은 - Manhattan ENT Hospital (Division of Lenox Hill Hospital), NY
박성우, 박준석 - Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center, MA
정성현 - UPenn Perelman School of Medicine Dept of Radiology, PA
이현우 - UC Irvine Medical Center, CA
조윤이 - Stein Eye Institute, UUCLA, CA

2020년도 미주동창회 여덟 장학생으로 부터 Progress Reports 를 받다.

2020-2021년도 미주동창회장학생($2,500 each)은 정석(Mathew Chung), 서예은(Hannah Suh), 조은(Jenny Cho), 이가원(Gawon Lee)등 4명이고, 김태웅장학생($3,000 each)은 김석주(Joshua Kim), 이빛나(Olive Lee)등 2명이고, 이유찬장학생($2,500 each)은 김예은(Sharon Kim), 김지수(Patrick Kim)등 2명이 선발되다.

남명호(81년) 동문이 지난 학술대회에서 특강한 Drs. Carey, Potter 와 Interview 하다.

2018년 6월 서울의대 미주동창회 학술대회의 Scientific Chair인 남명호(81년) 동문이 학술대회에서 특강을 한 Dr. Margaret Carey 와 Dr. Penny Potter 와 Interview 하다.

Dr. Sekwon Jang Awarded Inova Translational Research Funding Grant

종양내과 전문의 장세권 ('01) 동문이 Inova Translational Research Funding awardee로 선정되어 melanoma immunotherapy response에 대한 연구를 할 계획이다.

2018-2019 년도 미주장학생 변영화 (Suzie Byun), 강다해 (Dorothy Kang)와 이원기 (Benjamin Lee)으로부터 Progress reports, 그리고 김태웅장학생 김예슬 (Emily Kim)으로부터 Progress report를 받다.

AACR과 Debbie's Dream Foundation에서 후원하는 Gastric Cancer Research Fellowship 지원이 2019년 1월 16일 마감된다.

Skin cancer를 전문으로 하는 종양내과 전문의 장세권 ('01) 동문의 소개 비디오가 Inova Health System Youtube 페이지에 개시되었다.

Dr. Mooyeon Oh-Park Appointed as Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital (White Plains, NY)

재활의학과 전문의 오무연 ('89) 동문이 Montefiore Health System 소속 Burke Rehabilitation Hospital의 Senior Vice President / Chief Medical Officer로 임명되었다. 오동문의 새로운 행보가 기대된다.

Dr. William Sewan Baek Featured in the Korea Daily

신경과 전문의 백시환 ('99) 동문 이야기가 미주 중앙일보에 실렸다. 의학적 내용을 소재로 작사, 작곡한 노래가 음반에 실렸다. 백 동문의 데뷔 앨범은 여기서 들을 수 있다. 

DMV Area SNUCM Student Welcome Dinner on August 5, 2017

지난 2017년 8월 5일  토요일 저녁 6시에 워싱턴 DC, US Military Uniformed Medical Center로 여름 clerkship을 온 모교 본과 4학년 학생들과 함께 Fairfax, Virginia에 위치한 Sea Pearl 레스토랑에서 모여서 선후배간의 우의를 나누었다.

참석한 사람은 아직도 이 병원에서 Active 하시며 후배들의 일에 열정을 아끼지 않으시는  임종식(57졸업) 대선배님과  주광국(68) 서윤석(68) 남명호(81) 장세권(2001) 송경민(2009) 그리고 근래에  Texas에서 새로 이사 온 Medical Oncology and Hematology 전문의 강가나(2008) 동문이며 이날 인사를 온 모교 본과 4학년 의사학생은 지성인(정신과 지망 Yale 대학병원연수 후) 과 박제훈(정형외과 지망 Boston MGH 연수 후) 두 사람이다.
